Hire PHP developers
We provide PHP developers for maintaining and modernizing existing applications: Laravel and Symfony development, performance work, security updates, and migration paths off versions that no longer receive support.
What they bring
- Laravel and Symfony
- Modern PHP with typing and static analysis
- MySQL and PostgreSQL query performance
- Upgrading unsupported PHP versions
- Security review and remediation
- Incremental migration to other stacks
When clients bring us in
- Maintaining a business-critical PHP application
- Upgrading off an unsupported PHP version
- Improving performance in an existing codebase
- Planning a migration away from PHP without a rewrite
How engagement works
Engineers work in your repositories, your cloud accounts and your conventions. You own the code from the first commit, and there is nothing to transfer at the end because it was never held anywhere else.
Engagements are staffed to overlap with your working hours rather than ours. If the fit is wrong, tell us early and we replace the person — that flexibility is most of the reason to place rather than hire directly.
FAQ
Hiring PHP developers — questions
- Should we migrate away from PHP?
- Often not. If the application works and the team knows it, modernizing in place is usually cheaper and less risky than a rewrite. We will tell you when migration genuinely is the better answer, and when it is not.
- Can you upgrade an application on an old PHP version?
- Yes. Unsupported versions stop receiving security patches, which makes this urgent more often than clients expect. We upgrade incrementally with tests in place.
- Do you build new applications in PHP?
- Occasionally, where a client's team maintains it afterwards. For new work without that constraint we would usually propose TypeScript or Python.
