We do not recruit by text message, WhatsApp or Telegram, we never ask candidates for payment or banking details, and we do not offer daily-rate remote work. Messages of that kind are not from us.

- 03Interviews happen on a scheduled video call. We do not conduct interviews by chat message.
- 04We never ask for money, for equipment purchases, for bank details or for a Social Security number before a signed offer.
- 05We do not pay a daily rate for untracked remote tasks, and we do not send unsolicited offers to people who have not applied.
- 06Nobody at Devinity will ever ask you to move the conversation to WhatsApp or Telegram to continue.
The pattern
What has been reported
- An unsolicited text or iMessage from someone presenting as a recruiter, using a first name only.
- An offer of $200 to $800 a day for around ninety minutes of remote work — data entry, product review or similar.
- A request to continue on WhatsApp or Telegram rather than by email or phone.
- An onboarding step that asks for a Social Security number, identity documents or bank details.
- In some cases, a request to pay for equipment or training up front, with a promised reimbursement.

Do not reply or send anything
Do not send identity documents, bank details or money. If you have already replied, stop there — replying alone does not put you at risk.
Tell us
Forward the message to [email protected]. It helps us report the numbers and accounts being used, and we will confirm whether the role is real.
Report it
In the United States, report to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center at ic3.gov and to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov. Report the sending number to your carrier by forwarding it to 7726.
If you already shared details
Contact your bank immediately. If you gave a Social Security number, place a free fraud alert with one of the three US credit bureaus and consider a credit freeze.
