Devinity builds software for freight operators, brokers and fleet owners: load and dispatch management, document handling, settlements and reporting. Our own FleetChart product parses freight rate confirmations with AI and analyzes fleet performance, so we build in this sector from operational experience rather than requirements documents.
Freight runs on documents. Rate confirmations, bills of lading, proof of delivery and invoices move between brokers, carriers and shippers in whatever format the sender happens to use, and somebody re-types the contents into a system at each step.
That re-typing is where margin disappears. A missed accessorial is money never billed. A wrong rate is an invoice dispute. And because the data never becomes structured, questions about which lanes actually make money go unanswered.

Documents that arrive in every format
Every broker formats rate confirmations differently, which defeats rules-based parsing. This is precisely the variation AI extraction handles well, and it is what FleetChart does every day.
Systems that do not connect
TMS, accounting, ELD and load boards rarely share data cleanly. The integration layer is usually where the real work sits.
Reporting nobody trusts
When numbers are re-keyed, reports disagree with each other. Structuring the data at the point of entry fixes the reporting downstream.
Settlements and driver pay
Pay calculated from completed loads, with deductions and advances, is error-prone in a spreadsheet and expensive when wrong.

- Can you extract data from freight documents automatically?
- Yes. FleetChart, our own product, reads rate confirmation PDFs from any broker and extracts rate, lane, pickup and delivery dates, broker details and accessorial terms into structured fields. Accuracy is measured against a test set before the system goes live.
- Do you integrate with existing TMS platforms?
- Where an API exists, yes. Where one does not, we work through file exchange, email parsing or database access, and build monitoring around those approaches because they are more fragile than an API.
- Do you build for brokers or for carriers?
- Both. The document and settlement problems differ — brokers are managing margin across many carriers, carriers are managing utilization across their own fleet — so we scope them separately.
