Modernize enterprise .NET systems incrementally, without the big-bang rewrite that fails so reliably. This is a remote full-time role at Devinity Solutions LLC, a software engineering firm of 60 people founded in 2016.
About the role
Much of our .NET work is modernization: applications that work, that the business depends on, and that have become expensive to change.
That is a migration problem more than a development problem, and it rewards patience over enthusiasm.
What you will do
- Build and extend ASP.NET Core services
- Plan and execute incremental migrations from .NET Framework
- Establish test coverage around code before changing it
- Integrate with enterprise systems and SQL Server estates
- Deploy to Azure and hybrid environments
What we are looking for
- Strong C# and ASP.NET Core
- Experience migrating legacy .NET applications
- SQL Server, including query performance work
- Judgment about when not to rewrite something
Useful, not required
- Azure architecture experience
- Regulated industry background
- Containerized .NET deployment
